Due to court proceedings on bankrupt developer and subsequent administration proceedings dormant estate saw most of the vines beyond salvage due to lack of water.
Dam servicing vineyards is not connected to the PID
It was ordered that the pump (from the dam to the vineyards) not be used as the electrical wiring was not compliant and dangerous.
Conservative costs to rectify $90,000+.
1) Re-wire pump $5,000
2) Replant the vines $70,000
3) Yearly maintenance: $15,000
4) Supply PID Water to Vineyard Dam unknown ???
This would have incurred a special levy of approx. $1200 per lot.
It was unanimously voted not to re-instate the vineyards due to the apparent issues
It was unanimously voted to remove the vineyard by-law from the CMS
The new CMS was registered
